Hoppers

Hoppers are ideal for the interim storage of bulk materials. When unloading vessels, a peak often occurs at the start of the process. The production flow rate is often a lot less at the end. Thanks to the use of hoppers these fluctuations during the discharging process can be absorbed. Moreover, lorries or dumpers can be loaded very quickly with a hopper. 

Martens en Van Oord also has a mobile hopper. This hopper can be folded up and transported on a lorry.
